Cemeteries (A-K)
Washington County, Texas has over 284 cemeteries within the borders of the county. There has been an ongoing effort over the past 20 years to visit each one and record the history of the location and the burials that can be identified. Much of this information has been posted by the Washington County Genealogical Society on Find A Grave and we encourage you to visit the site. The ability to search both by cemeteries and by name make it easy to use and there is no cost.
Washington County Genealogical Society volunteers have spent many hours documenting these burials, researching and writing the histories of each cemetery. We appreciate your visiting our website and are happy that we may be able to help you in your research. We ask that you cite the Washington County Genealogical Society as your source when you enter this information in another website or should you publish it in any other way. Buttons with borders are those designated as a Historic Texas Cemetery (HTC) by the Texas Historical Comission. Those awarded Historical Marker status are indicated with 'HM' within the name of the cemetery.
Buttons will be activated (highlight in purple when hovering over the name) as information is added
